The Little Details That Made C&C's Wedding Uniquely Theirs

C&C's summer wedding at Cripps Barn was full of thoughtful, personal details that made the day feel completely their own.

From Sylvanian Families cake toppers and a vintage postcard guest book to bubble gun confetti, every little detail reflected their personalities and made the day even more memorable. I always love seeing the thought that goes into these choices, as they are often the details that make a wedding feel completely unique.

Instead of a traditional guest book, they asked guests to write messages on vintage postcards, a keepsake they'll be able to look back on for years to come. Their cake was topped with the cutest little Sylvanian Families figures, adding a fun and nostalgic nod to something they love. They also thought ahead with the hot July weather and provided everyone with beautiful vintage-inspired patterned fans. They were such a lovely detail throughout the day, and the bride even had her own personalised fan, which was such a fun little touch.

A Beautiful Summer Wedding at Cripps Barn

Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, Cripps Barn was the perfect backdrop for C&C's hot July wedding. The beautiful stone barn, sunny courtyard and surrounding countryside created such a relaxed atmosphere, and with sunshine from start to finish, it couldn't have been a more perfect summer's day.

The venue itself suited the feel of their wedding beautifully, with its rustic charm and warm, welcoming spaces providing the perfect setting for their celebrations. From the beautiful details inside the barn to the outdoor areas filled with summer light, there were so many lovely spots to capture the story of their day.

Bubble Guns, Sunshine and So Much Laughter

After the ceremony, everyone headed outside to celebrate and, instead of traditional confetti, C&C chose bubble guns.

It was such a fun idea and one that had everyone smiling. As bubbles floated through the July sunshine and guests cheered the newlyweds, it created such a joyful atmosphere and some beautifully natural photographs. It's moments like these that remind me that the best wedding photos often come from the little things that make a day feel personal.

Why the Little Details Matter

It's always the personal touches that stay with me long after a wedding day. Whether it's a keepsake guest book filled with handwritten messages, cake toppers that make everyone smile, or finding a fun alternative to confetti, those thoughtful choices tell your story in a way that no trend ever could.

As a wedding photographer, I love capturing those details just as much as the big moments. They're the photographs that help bring you back to how the day felt, and they're often the images that become even more meaningful as the years go by.

C&C's wedding was such a lovely reminder that weddings don't need to be extravagant to be unforgettable. Surrounded by their favourite people, plenty of laughter and so many thoughtful details, they created a day that felt relaxed, joyful and completely true to them.

As a Wiltshire wedding photographer, I feel incredibly lucky to photograph weddings across the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. Days like C&C's are exactly why I love capturing the little moments as much as the big ones—the details you planned, the laughter you shared and all the memories in between.

But first, enjoy a little look through some of my favourite images from C&C's beautiful summer wedding.
